A bad day at the picnic

Our picnic was postponed today because of rain so Rm14 imagined what would have happened if the weather had been fine. This was one of the wonderful stories. Thank you Eva!

Kiwisports Gymnastics! Bend and Stretch

A great introduction to gymnastics was had today: Pointing our toes, making a tuck, a pike, a diamond ... the splits will be next!

Icebreaker: Day 1 Term 1

I saw this on Youtube done by a master bongo player. I improvised and used the fruit bucket. The kids seemed to enjoy it.

First team assembly of 2016!

This morning we had our first team assembly with everyone from years 3 and 4. We sat beautifully, said a karakia, listened to 2 very well read mihis and sang a waiata. The teachers also introduced themselves. Roll on term 1!

The Christmas Story

Mrs Clark came into room 14 this week to help us act out the Christmas story. There are some wonderful actors in room 14. We were learning about the nativity story as well as working on our key competencies. The Oscar nominations are on the way.

Interview with a palaeontologist

We thought about what a palaeontologist does and wrote a script for us to make a mini interview with one of us pretending to be a palaeontologist and the other being an interviewer.
